PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Chairman Emeritus William R. Sasso was honored by the Valley Youth House (VYH) at its annual premier event, Setting the Stage. The event is the largest fundraising opportunity for VYH, which supports young people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
Sasso has been involved with VYH as a long-time supporter of education and social services, especially for inner-city youth.
For decades, Sasso has been at the center of Pennsylvania politics, business and law. In 2022, he was asked to become the chairman of the board of the transition team for then-Governor-elect Josh Shapiro. He was also appointed by former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to serve on the board of Independence Blue Cross.
Sasso served as chairman of Stradley Ronon’s management committee and board of directors for 27 years, ending in 2021. As chairman, he was responsible for oversight and management of more than 200 attorneys in the firm’s eight offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C.
In addition to providing housing, VYH also offers personalized, responsive programs for youth, including counseling and life skills training.
