PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is proud to announce that Dean Krishna, partner and chair of the tax practice, and Joan McCafferty, accounts payable manager, are the firm’s 2024 Excellence in Mentorship Award honorees. The recognition, given annually to one lawyer and one business professional, honors those who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to fostering personal and professional growth within the firm.
“Dean and Joan embody the very best of our firm’s culture and their contributions are both inspiring and invaluable,” said Stradley Ronon managing partner Michael O’Mara. “I thank both of them for their dedication to mentoring the next generation of talent.”
Recipients are nominated by firm members and selected by the firm’s talent development and mentorship committee. Dean and Joan were selected for their willingness to impart knowledge and experience, promotion of accessible and inclusive growth opportunities, and provision of well-rounded guidance and support. Both recipients will be recognized at a firmwide celebratory lunch.
Dean concentrates his practice on domestic and international tax and business matters. He advises on matters including mergers and acquisitions; registered funds and commercial securities offerings; private fund agreements, investments and structuring; business restructurings; and general domestic and cross-border tax planning.
For over 45 years, Joan has been an integral member of Stradley Ronon’s accounting department. Starting her career as a bookkeeper, Joan worked her way up to her current role, where she oversees all expenses for the firm, check requests and vendor inquiries, as well as the firm’s travel and expense system and policies.
