Overview

Paul Cuccurullo is a seasoned lawyer with a proven track record in complex commercial transactions, including finance, capital raising, securitization, structured finance and financial recovery strategies. Paul uniquely leverages his combined commercial, in-house and law firm experience to provide comprehensive and strategic counsel when navigating high-stakes negotiations and crafting innovative strategies for investment firms. He has represented institutional investors in a range of asset classes, including single-family rental and distressed assets, and has advised on rights and remedies under transaction documents. He also counsels clients on new and proposed legislative and regulatory changes.

With more than two decades of experience in complex commercial transactions, Paul represents investors, owners, operators and institutions in a range of financial matters, including structured finance and securitization (RMBS, ABS, CRE CLO and SFR), investment funds, real estate finance, capital raising, financial recovery strategies and distressed asset matters. Paul also advises clients on current and emerging legislative and regulatory developments affecting their businesses.

Most recently, he served as chief legal officer at Evergreen Residential Holdings LLC, an institutional single-family residential investment platform, where he led legal strategy and operations. Prior to Evergreen, Paul held various roles at The Amherst Group, most recently as senior managing director, where he oversaw all legal aspects of single-family rental assets (portfolio transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, property management and regulatory compliance), commercial real estate lending (originations, modifications, workouts and financing structures), private equity, investment funds (domestic and foreign), structured finance, securitizations, secured transactions and governance.
