James King

Overview

Jim King focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on consumer financial matters, products liability and mass tort cases, and commercial insurance disputes. His broad experience also includes insurance bad faith litigation, as well as complex medical malpractice and product liability litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.

Jim currently supervises a group of attorneys who represent firm clients in consumer financial disputes. For several years, he represented a manufacturer of pharmaceutical products in hundreds of mass tort and individual products liability cases in state and federal courts. Jim also has represented a state insurance commissioner in litigation arising from the liquidation of insurance companies.

While attending Villanova Law School, Jim was editor-in-chief of the Villanova Law Review, as well as a moot court finalist.

In The Community

Jim serves on the Alumni Board of Trustees of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School. He has served on the boards of St. Peter’s School and Taney Youth Baseball Association. Jim has devoted much of his free time to youth sports in Center City, where he enjoys coaching his children, Kelly and Jimmy.
