PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Partner and Chief Diversity Officer Brian P. Seaman was named to the Alumni Executive Council of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. Seaman will serve as the leadership symposium committee vice-chair for LCLD, assisting with the coordination of its annual conference, which offers educational sessions, career development opportunities and engaging networking events for early and mid-career attorneys at member organizations. Seaman previously served as an LCLD Fellow in 2013 and has been a leader within the alumni organization since 2015.
LCLD’s initiatives include a national mentoring program for diverse law students, a 1L Scholars Program providing summer experience at law firms and in corporate legal departments for first-year law students and mentoring for law firm associates and in-house attorneys with eight to 15 years of experience.
In addition to being a Stradley Ronon partner, Seaman serves as the firm’s chief diversity officer, leading the firm-wide inclusion and equity initiatives and orchestrating the design and implementation of the firm’s diversity and inclusion strategies. Since taking on the role, he has helped chart a multi-year roadmap for the firm to develop best practices and regularly collaborates with clients to ensure its diversity initiatives are aligned with client inclusion goals. He is also an integral part of the firm’s efforts to recruit, promote and retain diverse attorneys and helped redesign Stradley Ronon’s hiring process to reduce bias.
