Jocelyn Near counsels investment companies, independent trustees and investment advisers on regulatory, compliance and transactional matters under federal and state securities laws. She regularly advises on the formation, registration and ongoing compliance of open-end investment companies — including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), money market funds and multi-manager funds — by preparing various regulatory filings, including registration statements. Jocelyn also advises investment company independent trustees on corporate governance and regulatory matters.
Jocelyn was previously an investment management law clerk and legal administrative assistant at Stradley Ronon. During law school, she was a Securities Law Program Certificate recipient. Jocelyn was also a member of the Catholic University Law Review and the Securities Law Student Association and served as a Dean’s Academic Fellow, mentoring fellow students on the critical skills needed to excel in law school.
