PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Craig R. Blackman served as the moderator for two panels at the Flood Risk 2017 Conference on March 23 in Orlando. His first panel, “What to Expect: Timeline of Flood Legislation and Its Impact on You,” discussed private market expansion and how key policy reform will impact market conditions, insurance products and insureds. His second panel, “Forecasting the Future of Flood Insurance: Panel Predictions,” talked about the current market, and the ways private and NFIP programs must expand in order to best protect insureds.
Blackman is a nationally recognized authority on the National Flood Insurance Program and focuses his practice on a variety of insurance industry issues, including commercial and personal lines; cyber; directors & officers and errors & omissions; general liability; land title; fidelity and surety; and professional, employment and products liability. He has counseled clients on primary, umbrella, excess policies and reinsurance, as well as captive, self-insured and surplus lines programs; and proof of claim/coverage analyses in receivership.
