PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Craig R. Blackman served as an organizing co-Chair and panel moderator at the 2017 National Flood Insurance Conference on April 30 - May 3 in Washington, D.C. The panel, “Current Claims Practices,” discussed National Flood Insurance Program claims issues, the proper interpretation of the Standard Flood Insurance Policy’s existing rules, and FEMA’s current written guidances and manual provisions. The attendance was the largest in the conference’s history, attracting over 900 attendees from the insurance, adjusting, brokering, mitigation and federal government communities.
Blackman is a nationally recognized authority on the National Flood Insurance Program and focuses his practice on a variety of insurance industry issues, including commercial and personal lines; cyber; directors & officers and errors & omissions; general liability; land title; fidelity and surety; and professional, employment and products liability. He has counseled clients on primary, umbrella, excess policies and reinsurance, as well as captive, self-insured and surplus lines programs; and proof of claim/coverage analyses in receivership.
