PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Craig R. Blackman and Counsel Jana M. Landon served as panelists at the Resource Center for Religious Institutes’ 2017 National Conference on Nov. 2 in St. Louis. Blackman and Landon’s panel, “Cyber Threats and Basic Security: Planning for Protection and Insurance Issues,” discussed identifying and quantifying cyber threats, understanding the implications of a breach, building a cost-effective management plan and purchasing insurance to cover losses.
Blackman and Landon are Co-Chairs of the firm’s cyber insurance group. Blackman is a nationally recognized authority on the National Flood Insurance Program and focuses his practice on a variety of insurance industry issues, including commercial and personal lines; cyber; directors & officers and errors & omissions; general liability; land title; fidelity and surety; and professional, employment and products liability. He has counseled clients on primary, umbrella, excess policies and reinsurance, as well as captive, self-insured and surplus lines programs; and proof of claim/coverage analyses in receivership.
Landon is also Co-Chair of the firm’s data breach response group. Her practice focuses on advising lawyers and clients on data security and data management issues and legal, technical and strategic issues regarding information governance. She also represents clients in complex insurance coverage matters.
