PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Craig Blackman Co-Chairs and Moderates at the National Flood Conference Webinar Partner Craig R. Blackman served as an organizing co-chair and moderator at the National Flood Conference Webinar from June 1-3, 2020, which included more than 2200 participants from all over the country. On June 2, Blackman moderated the panel, “Litigation Trends,” which addressed how COVID-19 has affected the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) litigation, provided an update on developments in NFIP caselaw, and discussed the litigation oversight by FEMA, and trends resulting from some of the Court’s Disaster Protocols.
Blackman is co-chair of the firm’s insurance practice and cyber insurance groups. Blackman is a nationally recognized authority on the National Flood Insurance Program and focuses his practice on a variety of insurance industry issues, including commercial and personal lines; cyber; directors & officers and errors & omissions with a focus on Mutual Fund boards; general liability; land title; fidelity and surety; and professional, employment and products liability. He has counseled clients on primary, umbrella, excess policies and reinsurance, as well as captive, self-insured and surplus lines programs; and proof of claim/coverage analyses in receivership.
