Caroline Gorman leads the business department, encompassing the firm’s transactional, corporate governance, finance, real estate and intellectual property capabilities across nine offices. An active leader within the firm, Caroline also serves on the board of directors.
As chair of the business department, Caroline leverages her business acumen to spearhead initiatives and set the strategic direction for the team, including strategy, growth and focus.
In her day-to-day practice, Caroline focuses her practice on all aspects of secured and unsecured financing, including asset-based financing, second-lien, mezzanine and other junior credit financing, real estate acquisition, development and construction financing, health care financing, general secured financing and loan workouts. Caroline represents banks, commercial finance companies, private credit funds and various other lenders in all aspects of commercial lending. She also regularly represents clients as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel related to tax-exempt financing for 501(c)(3) entities, governmental units and other entities.
Caroline's practice often involves structuring and completing project financings for the construction of major infrastructure improvements for nonprofit institutions. Caroline also represents clients with respect to restructuring projects involving multinational enterprises and post-acquisition integration.
Caroline has been repeatedly recognized for her accomplishments, particularly in the secured finance industry.
