Bill also represents fidelity carriers in claims under all types of fidelity bonds and policies, including financial institution bonds, commercial crime insurance and other proprietary bond forms and policies.
Bill has extensive experience representing life insurers, producers, financial institutions and registered representatives against claims involving a range of financial and life insurance products, including the defense of sales practices claims, beneficiary disputes, coverage disputes and allegations of bad faith. His work for insurance industry clients also includes the defense of producers, brokers and agents against claims alleging professional negligence or other sales practices violations.
Bill maintains an active class action defense practice. He routinely represents companies in a wide range of industries in the defense of claims brought under federal or state securities laws and consumer protection statutes. His experience includes all facets of class action defense, ranging from class action and merits discovery, class certification briefing and hearings and dispositive motion practice.
Outside of insurance and financial services, Bill represents several national and regional food and beverage companies in a broad spectrum of matters, and is co-host of “
Food Forum,” a podcast in collaboration with the New Jersey Food Processors Association. Bill’s experience includes the representation of food producers, processors, distributors and others in merger and acquisition disputes and class action defense. Bill regularly advises clients on disputes with co-packers, suppliers and distributors, including the litigation of claims arising out of those relationships.
Bill holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a letter winner on the varsity lightweight crew team. Bill obtained his J.D. from Rutgers University, where he received the Paul C. Ireton Memorial Award for graduating with the highest GPA in his class.
