PHILADELPHIA –
William T. Mandia, a partner in the Stradley Ronon’s insurance coverage advisory & litigation practice group, presented at a seminar hosted by the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies (AIRROC) entitled “PFAS: An Overview of the Scientific and Legal Issues Presented by the ‘Forever Chemicals.’” The program was presented jointly with Catherine Boston and Candace Wygel, experts from the environmental consulting firm, Roux. Law firms and insurance industry participants were offered critical knowledge and insight on the emerging scientific and legal issues associated with PFAS.
Mandia has extensive experience representing insurers in courts throughout the country in the defense of multi-million coverage disputes, including environmental and other long-tail exposures. Mandia is an experienced courtroom lawyer who has tried cases in federal and state court and before arbitration panels. He also has argued before federal and state courts of appeal in multiple jurisdictions.
AIRROC is a U.S.-based non-profit association that prides itself on promoting and representing the interests of entities with legacy business by improving industry standards and enhancing knowledge and communications within and outside of the (re)insurance industry. Roux is an environmental consulting and management firm that provides a broad range of engineering, and project management services to solve environmental, health, and safety problems associated with air, water, and land.
