William T. Mandia served as a panelist at Perrin Conferences’ Insurance Coverage & Allocation Issues Virtual Conference on Jan. 12. Mandia participated in the panel, titled, “Recent Developments in Allocation Issues.” The panel addressed significant decisions from the past year in
Montrose,
Lloyd Mitchell, and other allocation cases, and discussed developments and strategies for addressing insurance availability/unavailability in the context of allocation disputes.
Mandia represents clients in
commercial and class action litigation with a particular focus on the insurance and financial services industries. He regularly defends primary and excess insurance carriers and liquidators in coverage disputes and bad faith claims, including disputes involving property-casualty, D&O, E&O, environmental and other special liability lines of coverage, including extensive experience defending insurers in complex coverage disputes involving long-tail exposures. Mandia also defends insurers and producers in connection with claims involving a wide range of life insurance and financial products, including claims for sales practices violations, producer misconduct, coverage determinations, bad faith, forgery, and policy lapse. Mandia also writes about, and is frequently called to speak about, comment on, or write about legal issues impacting the insurance industry.
