PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Attorney
Daniel Pereira presented at the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference’s 31st Annual Forum on Jan. 24 in Philadelphia. The Annual Forum is a full-day educational conference at which the latest developments in bankruptcy law are presented and discussed by preeminent bankruptcy attorneys, including bankruptcy judges, law professors and U.S. Trustees, as well as a large representation of the most senior and experienced bankruptcy and restructuring practitioners in the area.
Pereira researched and drafted one of the Annual Forum’s two commercial case studies presented at the conference. In addition, he assisted Professor Jonathan C. Lipson, from Temple University School of Law, in leading a roundtable discussion of the hypothetical problem which addressed complex issues surrounding Chapter 11 channeling injunctions, non-consensual, third-party releases, and the treatment of certain tax claims under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
Pereira concentrates his practice on litigation and transactional matters with a focus on advising clients on commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues. Daniel has experience in cross-border insolvency and restructuring proceedings. He also has experience advising commercial lenders in loan enforcement matters, including workouts and foreclosures.
