David F. Roeber was selected by the
New Jersey Law Journal as a 2022 "New Leader of the Bar" honoree for the New Jersey Legal Awards. The award recognizes outstanding attorneys under 40 who have accomplished notable achievements and possess outstanding potential.
Roeber primarily focuses his practice on counseling
registered investment companies, their independent trustees (including as
independent trustee counsel) and
investment advisers in connection with various regulatory and disclosure, compliance, transactional and corporate governance matters. Among other areas, his practice involves assisting mutual fund, closed-end fund and exchange-traded fund clients with formation and ongoing operations, regulatory filings, board and committee meeting matters and compliance with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's regulatory initiatives. Roeber also has extensive experience with multi-manager funds and investment company audit committee governance matters. Among his clients are leading global investment firms.
Roeber serves as a member of Stradley Ronon's
Diversity and
Pro Bono Committees and is an active volunteer attorney at the Volunteer UP Legal Clinic. Formerly the UrbanPromise Legal Clinic, which he helped launch, Volunteer UP provides pro bono legal assistance and support to economically disadvantaged individuals in New Jersey. Roeber currently serves on the clinic's board and previously served as the lead attorney. In 2019, Roeber received the "New Attorney Pro Bono Award" from the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Chancellor's Award for Alumni Civic Engagement from Rutgers University, recognizing his significant pro bono contributions.
