PHILADELPHIA — Stradley Ronon partner Taylor Brody participated as a panelist for a webinar hosted by Broadridge Financial Solutions on February 27. During the session, “Fund Proxy for the Modern Era,” industry professionals discussed how proxy service providers, regulators and asset managers can come together to address current issues related to a fund’s ability to attain shareholder votes needed to hold special and annual meetings.
Panelists covered the current proxy voting landscape and trends, challenges and paths to successful proxy campaign execution for asset managers, the Investment Company Institute’s perspective, outside counsel views and industry alignment for smart regulatory reform.
Taylor focuses her practice on counseling investment companies, boards of directors and investment advisers in connection with regulatory, compliance and transactional issues. She advises clients on a variety of investment management and securities law matters, with a particular emphasis on closed-end fund activism.
