WASHINGTON — Stradley Ronon partner Eric Hurwitz, co-chair of the financial services litigation practice, served as moderator for a roundtable discussion on recent activities with respect to student loan financial regulation at the International Institute for Business Information & Growth (iiBIG) 15th Annual Education Finance & Loan Symposium on May 20 in the Washington, D.C., area.
Panelists discussed the legal and regulatory outlook for student loans at both the state and federal levels, regulatory agencies’ activities around delinquent private and public student loans, pending rules related to “gainful employment,” and the policies and regulations that will most impact private higher-education businesses.
Eric is the partner-in-charge of Stradley Ronon’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey, office. He focuses his litigation practice on defending financial institutions from claims arising out of nearly every type of consumer and commercial financial product. He has experience defending both single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits brought against a wide variety of financial services institutions.
