PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partners Eric M. Hurwitz and Joe N. Nguyen presented at Rossdale’s CLE Seminar, “Mastering Foreclosure Techniques and MERS,” on Feb. 15. Hurwitz and Nguyen discussed the latest laws and challenges in foreclosure cases, issues involving MERS and standing to foreclose, claims based on alleged servicing error, loss mitigation strategies and recent changes in the regulatory environment.
Hurwitz focuses his litigation practice on defending financial institutions from claims arising out of nearly every type of consumer and commercial financial product. He has extensive experience defending both single plaintiff and class action lawsuits against banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, student lenders, credit card companies, auto finance companies, debt collection companies and other financial services institutions.
Nguyen concentrates his litigation practice on representing financial services institutions in consumer-related matters, including class-action defense and single plaintiff suits. He has significant first-chair trial experience and has litigated cases before state and federal courts nationwide, as well as before the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
