Kevin Casey (panelist) and
Allison Gifford (moderator) presented, “You’ve STILL Gotta Keep Up: U.S. Supreme Court Changes to Copyright and Trademark Law.” Jerel A. Hopkins, Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Delaware Management Holdings, Inc., and John N. McElroy, In-House General Counsel at C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., completed the panel, which discussed the impact of the recent U.S. Supreme Court copyright and trademark decisions on in-house practice.
Casey is chair of the
intellectual property and the
IP litigation groups at Stradley Ronon and an active member of the
alternative dispute resolution group. He has counseled clients for over 30 years in all aspects of the IP field, focusing on
patents,
trademarks,
trade secrets,
licensing and
opinions. Casey has also been lead litigation counsel and has participated as assistant counsel in more than 60 cases.
Gifford focuses her practice on
trademark and
copyright law and related business issues. She has represented clients from start-ups to multinational corporations in a wide variety of industries including building and construction materials and supplies, minerals, chemicals, computer software and technology, retail, apparel, non-profit and charitable organizations, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, online business services, e-commerce, restaurant and food services, and financial and insurance services.
