Galante and Counsel Allison Gifford presented at the Association of Corporate Counsel – Greater Philadelphia’s 15th Annual In-House Counsel Conference, which took place April 20. The panel “Don’t Forget about IP in M&A!” provided practical guidance about intellectual property-related issues that should be considered when undertaking due diligence during a merger, acquisition or sale. Galante and Gifford discussed trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets and other substantive areas and advised on what information should be obtained and organized.
Galante is a member of the firm’s business department and focuses his practice on complex business combinations and investment transactions. He advises public and private companies, investors and entrepreneurs on a range of corporate and securities law matters of strategic importance. He represents established and emerging businesses in complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, sales, financings, joint ventures and restructurings.
Gifford focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law and related business issues. She has represented clients from start-ups to multinational corporations in a wide variety of industries, including building and construction materials and supplies, minerals, chemicals, computer software and technology, retail, apparel, nonprofit and charitable organizations, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, online business services, e-commerce, restaurant and food services, and financial and insurance services.
