Catherine Ward served as a panelist for a virtual event, “Women in Environmental Justice,” on Nov. 18. The event was hosted by the Society of Women Environmental Professionals New Jersey Chapter, New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association, and Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast. Ward discussed the current issues in environmental justice (EJ), including New Jersey’s recent passage of national precedent-setting EJ legislation, from the perspective of the regulated community.
Ward is the co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s
environmental practice group. Her practice involves advising industrial clients, developers and municipalities on regulatory compliance and redevelopment projects, identifying funding opportunities and assisting with remediation strategies. She also serves as Chair of the Environmental Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, President of the Women’s Energy Network of Greater Philadelphia and board Chair of the Wynnefield Overbrook Redevelopment Corporation, which is affiliated with Saint Joseph’s University.
