The program, titled “PA Business Law Quirks: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt Your Client,” focused on the broad business law landscape in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and covered what attorneys need to know to help their clients run their businesses effectively and legally, with a specific focus on Pennsylvania nuances. The panel discussed topics including choice of business entity, submission to jurisdiction by registration, anti-takeover law, enterprise liability, the PA Deficiency Judgment Act and more.
Jacobs has extensive experience representing businesses and institutions on domestic and international transactional matters. For over 35 years, she has served as an advisor to both private and public companies in a wide variety of industries on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, institutional and private equity financings, and organizational governance issues.
