PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Associates Rebecca Fallk and Maxx M. Johnson have joined the firm’s growing 75-person litigation department in Philadelphia, PA and Newark, NJ, respectively. Both have hands-on litigation experience, strengthening the firm’s white-collar defense and insurance litigation practice groups.
“Rebecca’s experience with highly complex corporate compliance matters and Maxx’s knowledge of the insurance industry bring great value to their respective practice groups,” said Jeffrey D. Grossman, partner and chair of the firm’s litigation group. “We are excited to expand our litigation department and welcome these two talented attorneys to Stradley Ronon.”
A member of the firm’s white-collar defense, internal investigations and corporate compliance practice, Fallk represents clients in high-profile internal investigations that involve federal regulatory agencies. She has experience conducting internal investigations in response to probes and subpoenas, handling witness interviews, drafting court pleadings and briefs and preparing for depositions, oral arguments and trials. Before joining Stradley Ronon, Fallk practiced as an associate attorney at Miles & Stockbridge in Washington, DC, where she defended clients in False Claims Act matters and counseled clients on sophisticated corporate matters involving due diligence. She is the former chair of the Public Contract Law Committee of the American Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division. She is also involved with the Women’s White Collar Defense Association, serving as a member in both the national and Philadelphia chapters. She graduated from The George Washington University magna cum laude and obtained her law degree with honors from The George Washington University Law School.
Johnson’s practice focuses on the intersection of insurance and commercial litigation, handling general liability and health insurance-related matters. He worked as an associate attorney at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP in New York before joining Stradley Ronon. While at Lewis Brisbois, he handled insurance-related professional malpractice matters before federal, state and appellate courts in New York and New Jersey.
Johnson is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, including the federal District of New Jersey, the federal Districts of Southern and Eastern New York, as well as the Second and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Johnson was also one of the youngest attorneys admitted to the United States Supreme Court at the time of admission.
