PHILADELPHIA — Partner Danielle Banks served as moderator for a panel on March 28 during the Philadelphia Bar Association’s spring quarterly meeting. The event’s theme was “Breaking Down Barriers to Access & Progress,” with the goal of taking action to combat hate and further progress in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
In addition to the panel, the event included a keynote speech from Reggie Shuford, executive director of the North Carolina Justice Center and former executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Pennsylvania.
A frequent speaker and thought leader in the DEI space, Dani is the immediate past chair of Stradley Ronon’s diversity committee. She defends businesses, universities, and governmental entities against discrimination claims, including implicit bias claims brought under Title VII, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. Dani also defends governmental entities against Section 1983 claims.
