PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Paula D. Shaffner delivered the undergraduate commencement address to the Winter graduating class of her alma mater, West Chester University. The message of her speech was, “Make a Living, Make a Life, Make a Mark,” which discussed the unusual first jobs of a number of famous people before they went on to make significant contributions in their professional lives. Shaffner, who serves on the Board of the West Chester University Foundation, stressed the need to find your passion and make a larger impact on others.
Shaffner, co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s Securities Litigation & Enforcement practice group, represents individuals and companies in securities litigation, and defends clients in regulatory matters before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency (FINRA) and various exchanges and state regulators. She also represents clients in litigation filed in court or arbitration and conducts internal investigations and provides compliance counseling.
