PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon’s New York office continues to grow with the addition of associate Linsay Sobers. Sobers’ practice focuses on domestic tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures, investments, structuring and reorganizations.
“We are excited that Linsay has joined the firm. Her prior experience advising Fortune 500 companies, investment banks and private equity firms regarding high-level tax matters across an array of issues is a great benefit to our expanding tax practice,” said Kenneth Wang, partner and member of Stradley Ronon’s tax group.
Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Sobers was a senior associate at a Big Four accounting firm in New York. She received her J.D. from Howard University and her L.L.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. She obtained her M.B.A. from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and her B.S. from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas. Sobers began her legal career as a judicial intern for the Hon. Judge Dora L. Irizarry of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York.
Stradley Ronon’s tax practice group reaches into every sphere of international, federal, state and local taxation, working with tax laws that are numerous, complex and frequently changing. The group’s lawyers regularly undertake tax planning for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, business trusts, limited liability companies, individuals, estates and trusts, tax-exempt organizations, and regulated businesses such as mutual funds and banks.
