PHILADELPHIA — Stradley Ronon served as counsel to Franklin Templeton on the formation, registration, listing and launch of a new exchange-traded product, Franklin Ethereum ETF — one of several spot ether ETFs to receive listing approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Franklin Ethereum ETF offers investors exposure to ether, the second-largest digital asset by market capitalization, in an ETF wrapper.
“Stradley Ronon is proud to be at the forefront of another novel, industry-first digital asset ETF on behalf of Franklin Templeton,” said partner Steve Feinour, who co-led the Stradley Ronon team. “This marks the launch of the second type of spot digital asset exchange-traded product in the U.S., following the launch of spot bitcoin ETFs earlier this year. This also underscores the continued popularity of the ETF wrapper when bringing new and innovative products to market, including in the digital asset space.”
The team was led by Steve and partner Miranda Sturgis, with support from partners Kenneth Greenberg, Joel Corriero and Thomas Hanley, and associates Wesley Davis, Rebecca Rodrigues and Rachel Charamella. The tax team included partners Kenneth Wang and Dean Krishna.
