PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce Partner Gretchen Santamour was honored at The Education Law Center’s (ELC) 47th Anniversary Celebration on Sept. 29 in Philadelphia. ELC honored Santamour for her time served as the board’s chair, a position she has held since 2017. Santamour has been an ELC board member since 2013.
ELC’s mission is to ensure access to quality public education for all children in Pennsylvania. They focus on the most underserved students: children living in poverty, children of color, children with disabilities, children in the foster care and juvenile justice systems, children experiencing homelessness, English learners, LGBTQ and gender-nonconforming students – and many who are at the intersection of these identities. Due to the efforts of ELC’s fantastic staff and board of directors, during Santamour’s tenure as board chair, ELC experienced significant revenue growth allowing ELC to serve more children year after year.
Santamour is the co-chair of our bankruptcy, workouts and creditors’ rights group. She concentrates her practice on loan documentation, financial transactions, business loan and real estate workouts and restructuring, where she regularly represents financial institutions, real estate investors, landlords and other business organizations. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Arcadia University and on the Board of Directors of Hyperion Bank. She also served as a member of the executive committee of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project and the Friends of the Free Library. Santamour is a member of the American Bar Association Corporation’s Banking and Business Law Section and the Turnaround Management Association.
