PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Partner Mark E. Chopko received the Vision Award at this year’s National Association of Church Personnel Administrators (NACPA) annual conference held on May 2. The NACPA’s Vision Award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the mission and ministry of the Catholic Church through human resource management. Chopko is a long-time supporter of NACPA, providing programming, counsel and continuing education.
With Jennifer Gniady, Chopko co-chairs the firm’s nonprofit and religious organizations practice group and advises clients, including colleges and universities, in matters involving structural, business, governance, regulatory and complex litigation. A former general counsel for the U.S. Conference on Catholic Bishops, he has participated in more than 30 Supreme Court cases as counsel for religious groups in friend-of-the-Court briefs. He is also a member of the National Diocesan Attorneys Association, the Religious Liberty Committee of the National Council of the Churches and the Church Law Society.
