PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon recently welcomed two new attorneys. Amanda M. Kita joined the trusts, estates & personal planning group, and John M. Ekblad joined the firm’s investment management group. Based in the firm’s Malvern, Pa., office, Kita joined from Timoney Knox. Ekblad is based in firm’s the Chicago office and previously practiced at Chapman and Cutler.
Kita concentrates her practice in the areas of estate, tax and business planning, as well as estate and trust administration, with a focus on Special Needs Trusts. She primarily handles trust and estate administration and Orphans’ Court litigation for individuals, families and business owners. Kita received her law degree from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law and her undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary.
Ekblad focuses his practice on advising investment companies in matters regarding organization and registration under federal and state securities laws. He frequently counsels clients on materials preparation, advertising, regulatory analysis and continuing compliance obligations. Ekblad received his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. Prior to law school, Ekblad was a tax professional at Ernst & Young.
