PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Sara P. Crovitz served as a panelist at the Investment Company Institute’s 2019 Mutual Funds and Investment Management Conference on March 18 in San Diego, CA. Crovitz’s panel, “The Polls Are Open: Reexamining SEC Proxy Voting Requirements,” discussed regulatory and industry participant viewpoints on proxy voting and how reforms might affect registered investment companies.
Before joining Stradley Ronon, Crovitz had more than 20 years of experience at the SEC. In her most recent position of Deputy Chief Counsel, Crovitz worked with a team of over 50 attorneys in issuing exemptive orders, no-action/interpretive letters, IM Guidance Updates and other written and oral guidance, including guidance related to MiFID II, clean shares and auditor independence. For many years, she also led the Division of Investment Management's international obligations including IOSCO and FSB work streams.
