investment management group participated in the Independent Directors Council’s Virtual Fund Directors Conference on Oct. 21 and 22. The annual Fund Directors Virtual Conference provides insights into the implications of the wide-ranging changes facing independent directors and trustees who serve on the boards of mutual funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds and other registered investment companies.
Alison M. Fuller spoke on a panel at the program entitled, “Risk Management Oversight,” which discussed cybersecurity risk, business continuity, short-term and long-term risk assessments and board reporting content and frequency.
David W. Grim and
Mena Larmour presented “Director Considerations: SEC’s Proposed Overhaul of Fund Disclosure,” covering how proposed changes will affect board oversight of fund disclosures.
Michael W. Mundt presented “Converting an Open-End Fund to an ETF,” addressing the issues that fund directors should consider when evaluating the conversion to an ETF structure.
