PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Partner Miranda Sturgis participated in a joint event between the Philadelphia and New York chapters of Women in ETFs. Sturgis served on a panel that discussed the industry's move to an accelerated U.S. securities settlement cycle, commonly known as T+1, which was recently adopted by the SEC earlier this year, with implementation set for May 2024.
The panel included leaders in the ETF space and covered the expected benefits and challenges of T+1 for the ETF industry as a whole. Women in ETFs was organized to bring together women and men in the ETF ecosystem across the globe to champion its goals of choosing equality, diversity and inclusion. Sturgis serves on the Philadelphia Leadership Board of Women in ETFs.
In addition to her involvement with Women in ETFs, Sturgis is an active member of the investment management group. Her experience includes assisting clients in matters such as the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of investment companies, including index-based and actively managed ETFs and mutual funds across a wide range of asset classes. She also assists in the representation of clients in transactional matters, such as fund mergers and acquisitions.
