PHILADELPHIA – The Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB) funds cohort welcomed Stradley Ronon partners Nicole Simon and Joel Corriero to present virtually about alternative investments.
The presentation, led by EWOB Founding Member and experienced fund board director Dina Tantra, focused on “The Democratization of Alt Investments Through Interval Funds, Tender Offer Funds and Other Closed-End Funds,” discussed market demand, emerging products, regulatory landscapes, the role of boards and potential board opportunities. The discussion was followed by virtual networking sessions that included Stradley attorneys and members of the EWOB funds cohort.
EWOB was founded in 2017 as a private membership network of highly accomplished women who serve on public and private for-profit boards. With over 900 members, representing over 2500 boards, EWOB focuses on governance best practices, staying cutting edge in their knowledge, and amplifying the impact of women inside boardrooms and beyond.
Nicole is chair of Stradley Ronon’s alternative funds practice and counsels a diverse group of clients in the asset management industry on the broad scope of traditional and novel regulatory issues and practical considerations relevant to their initial formation and continued operations. Joel primarily counsels investment companies, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), closed-end funds and alternative funds on the full spectrum of regulatory and compliance matters Having been involved in the launch, approval and listing of several novel investment products, Joel is well versed in the latest issues impacting alternative and emerging exchange-traded products.
