PHILADELPHIA – The Mutual Fund Directors Forum (MFDF) hosted a webinar on November 12, with Stradley Ronon partner Michael Mundt to discuss the history of the exchange-traded fund (ETF) share class and the current efforts by asset managers to obtain permission from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to offer the structure.
The presentation included key features of the ETF share class structure, the benefits and challenges that those features might present, and the status of fund industry efforts to obtain SEC approval for investment companies to offer ETF share classes.
