PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Fund Alliance (PFA), a group of Philadelphia-based asset management industry professionals, has raised $100,000 in support of The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation (TMJF) and the Make The World Better Foundation (MTWB).
“By providing learning opportunities and public spaces to Philadelphians, Malcolm and Connor are investing in our communities and our people,” said Bruce Leto, PFA founding member and Stradley Ronon partner and steering committee member. “We are grateful to our sponsors and the PFA steering committee members for their continued support, year after year.”
The funds raised at PFA’s recent annual fundraising gala will be split between the two organizations. Former Eagles players Malcolm Jenkins and Connor Barwin attended the event to discuss each organization’s mission and thank attendees for their contributions.
TMJF, founded by Malcolm Jenkins, aims to create positive change in the lives of youth, particularly those in underserved communities in Philadelphia, Camden and others, by offering transformative and innovative learning opportunities, resources and experiences.
MTWB, founded by Connor Barwin and his mother, connects people and inspires stewardship through public space revitalization projects. They provide access to high-quality public spaces that provide safe outlets for recreation, sports and arts-based activities.
Last year, the event raised a total of $125,000 to support PhillySafe, an organization that seeks to make place-based investments with proven crime-deterrent solutions.
This year’s PFA gala sponsors included Cohen & Co., Deloitte, EY, Faegre Drinker, Fund Board Views, Glenmede, KPMG, Lovell Minnick, Macquarie, Morgan Lewis, PwC, SEI, Stradley Ronon, Tait Weller and Troutman Pepper.
