PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner
Catherine M. Ward was presented with The Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP) of Greater Philadelphia’s Touchstone Award at their 23rd Annual Touchstone Award Reception on Nov. 7. Ward was recognized for her 30-year legal career as a leader in the environmental sector. The Touchstone award is presented to recognize a woman whose contributions “reflect the mission statement of SWEP:
- To encourage and promote the leadership, achievement, and professional development of women in the environmental professions;
- To provide an informal setting for women in the environmental professions to meet, share substantive information and work experiences, and to establish a communications exchange;
- To educate members on new developments and current trends in the environmental field;
- To encourage and promote the development of business relationships; and
- To encourage and promote public service in the environmental field.”
Ward is co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s environmental practice group. Her practice involves advising developers and municipalities in connection with regulatory compliance redevelopment projects, identifying funding opportunities and assisting with remediation strategies. She serves as Vice President of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Environmental Committee, President-Elect of the Women’s Energy Network of Greater Philadelphia and board Chair of the Wynnefield Overbrook Redevelopment Corporation, which is affiliated with Saint Joseph’s University.
