Mark R. Greer presented a panel at the 2022 Investment Management Conference hosted by Investment Company Institute (ICI) on March 28. The panel, moderated by DiClemente, was titled “Considering Crypto: Tales from the Trenches,” which examined the realities of cryptocurrency fund structuring, cryptocurrency fund case studies and a litigation update.
ICI’s annual Investment Management Conference is one of the country’s premier events for asset managers, service providers, board members and legal and compliance personnel. It provides attendees with networking opportunities and valuable content focusing on the latest trends in the investment management industry.
DiClemente is co-chair of the firm’s
investment management group and represents registered investment companies and their boards of directors, investment advisers, private funds and broker-dealers in a wide range of regulatory, corporate and transactional matters. His clients include several of the largest investment management firms and fund complexes in the country, insurance companies, and private fund sponsors.
Folena is a nationally recognized trial and appellate lawyer using her 20 years of
enforcement and government experience to guide clients on securities, derivatives and financial services litigation. She advises and represents clients in all types of securities matters, including those involving investment managers, financial fraud, insider trading, foreign bribery, and matters involving complex financial instruments.
Gault-Brown is the chair of the firm’s fintech practice group, co-chair of the derivatives and commodities practice group, and an active member of the investment management group. She has significant experience with emerging financial services products that are web and app-based, including crowdfunding platforms, investment platforms, cryptocurrencies, digital assets, blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) and roboadvisers.
Greer concentrates his practice on representing registered investment companies, independent board members and registered investment advisers on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters that arise under U.S. federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, the Commodity Exchange Act, and related rules and regulations.
