PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Partner Nicole Simon and Geena Marzouca participated in the American Bar Association’s Derivatives & Futures Law Committee Winter Meeting, which took place in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on Feb. 4.
Ms. Simon served as a speaker on the “Ethics in Derivatives and Futures Law” panel, discussing ethical issues related to hot topics in 2023 from the perspective of attorneys working in-house or representing participants in the futures and derivatives markets, particularly when dealing with novel products like derivatives tied to cryptocurrencies.

She advises investment advisers, registered investment companies, private funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs), business development companies (BDCs) and their boards of trustees/directors on the application and interpretation of the federal securities and commodities laws, often with respect to alternative strategies in the retail fund context and the use of derivatives.
Ms. Marzouca assists in advising investment management clients on a wide range of legal, regulatory and transactional matters. She has experience drafting and reviewing registration statements and regulatory filings and researching various issues arising under the federal securities and commodities laws.
