PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner and Co-Chair of the securities litigation enforcement practice group Jan M. Folena moderated a panel titled “Law & Compliance: Reading the Tea Leaves: Enforcement Trends from the SEC and CFTC” at the Futures Industry Association’s FIA Expo 2023 in Chicago.
The panel of attorneys discussed the SEC’s and CFTC’s increased enforcement in the digital currency space, trends related to ESG and cyber security, off-channel communications and highlighted some recently decided enforcement actions from these two key market regulators.
Folena has over 20 years of federal government enforcement, investigation and litigation experience. She previously served as assistant chief litigation counsel for the SEC’s Enforcement Division, where she appeared in federal courts across the nation as lead trial counsel, handling issues at the forefront of the securities and financial services industry.
