Deborah Hong have been recognized by the
Philadelphia Business Journal as recipients of the Best of the Bar Awards. William R. Sasso has been inducted into “Best of the Bar: Hall of Fame” to honor his outstanding 47-year legal career and commitment to making those around him embrace the things that matter most. Deborah Hong was selected as a “Best of the Bar: Philadelphia’s Top Lawyers” recipient in the corporate category for her recent achievements and the impact of her work.
Sasso has been chairman of Stradley Ronon since 1994. In that role, he is responsible for oversight and management of more than 200 attorneys in the firm's eight offices in Philadelphia, Malvern, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Wilmington, Delaware; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; and New York. Outside of his legal practice, he is widely recognized for his civic accomplishments, including having served as chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors, a commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority, and as a trustee of Leo Niessen Jr. Charitable Foundation. He is an advisory board member of the Satell Institute and chair of the upcoming Satell Institute Private CEO Conference. Sasso also serves on the board of directors of the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, and Independence Health Group; the board of trustees of LaSalle University; and he was the chairman of the Pennsylvania Infrastructure and Investment Authority (PENNVEST). He is the board chair of Holy Redeemer Health System, and he serves on the board of Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
Hong focuses her practice on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings and reorganizations. Her clients include several privately owned, middle-market companies as well as publicly held companies in the technology, media, retail, investment management and manufacturing sectors. She is a recipient of the National Diversity Council’s Leadership Excellence in the Law Award as well as the Most Powerful and Influential Women Award. Hong has received the Philadelphia Business Journal’s ‘40 Under 40’ recognition. She was also recognized in The Legal Intelligencer’s Diverse Attorneys of the Year and Lawyers on the Fast Track. She currently serves on the Leadership Advisory Council of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania as well as on the Multicultural Advisory Board of Bryn Mawr Trust and the Board of Directors of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce
