PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Attorney Andreas Andrews served as a panelist on the Philadelphia Bar Association Virtual CLE “Strategic Acquisitions of Partnerships: Fundamental Tax Issues for Buyers and Sellers” on July 29. The panel examined the fundamental issues that face buyers and sellers in an acquisition of partnerships, including tax planning and important considerations related to the acquisition or sale of a partnership.
Andrews focuses his practice on
tax issues related to
mergers and acquisitions and other transactional matters. Andrews has experience reviewing partnership agreements, including agreements related to renewable energy partnerships, private equity partnerships, and family partnerships. His experience also includes drafting opinions and memorandums regarding substantive federal tax issues, including debt versus equity, disguised sales, noncompensatory partnership options, and partnership entity qualification.
