PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Brian P. Seaman, Amy E. Sparrow and Miranda L. Sturgis have been elected to the firm’s partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2023. All three partners began their careers at the firm as summer law clerks.

Based in the New York office, Seaman has been a member of the firm since 2003 and has served the firm as chief diversity officer since 2018. As a practicing attorney, he focuses on health care litigation, product liability matters, and other complex commercial civil and regulatory engagements. While his practice cuts across various sectors, Seaman possesses particular experience representing insurance carriers, providers, hospitals and health care systems in the health care industry on matters involving ERISA, Medicaid/Medicare, managed care, fraud and provider contracting. As the firm’s chief diversity officer, Seaman leads the firm-wide inclusion and equity initiatives and orchestrates the design and implementation of the firm’s diversity and inclusion strategies. He is regularly published as a thought leader on DEI topics and has received numerous legal and diversity awards, including “Diverse Attorney of the Year” from the Legal Intelligencer, “40 Under 40” from the Philadelphia Business Journal, and "Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40" from the National LGBT Bar Association.
Sparrow joined the firm in 2008 and practices out of the Philadelphia office. She represents clients in the financial services industry in litigation, internal investigations, regulatory actions and employment-related disputes. She defends clients in regulatory actions brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), state securities regulators, and other federal and state regulators. She also practices in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels in various litigation actions in financial industry matters. Additionally, she provides compliance counseling and assists clients in drafting and revising policies and procedures to comply with securities laws, rules, and regulations. She is also a member of the firm’s E-Discovery team. She has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers’ Rising Star.
A member of the firm in Philadelphia since 2014, Sturgis focuses on her practice counseling investment companies and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, corporate and transactional matters. Her experience includes advising clients on a wide range of securities law matters relating to the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of investment companies, including index-based and actively managed exchange-traded products (ETPs) and obtaining exchange listing approvals for ETPs. Miranda also assists in the representation of clients in transactional matters, such as fund mergers and acquisitions. She is also active in the investment management industry, serving on the Women in ETFs – Philadelphia Leadership Board. She has been named to Best Lawyers’ Ones to Watch list.
