Chris Connell was quoted in a
Philadelphia Business Journal article detailing the benefits state charters give smaller banks. The article, "Main Line bank files to switch to state charter," quoted Connell saying, "I don’t think the OCC minds state regulators taking these banks on. I think there is a sense that state regulators are better regulators for small banks than the OCC. They might understand these banks, their concerns, their markets, better than a federal regulator would."
